Beachfront Condo Rental | Old Town, Puerto Vallarta

Ken and I were childhood sweethearts and have been married for 50+ years. We have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren. We each started our businesses 40 years ago – on a wing and a prayer. Miraculously we still have them today! We live in our hometown in Fresno, both being raised there, and have always had a spirit of adventure. We purchased this condo in 2009.

In November of 2009 we joined our sons and their wives on a cruise of the Mexican Riviera. We went to Cabo, Mazatlan, then to Puerto Vallarta. When we reached PV, we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted to do, and it did not involve cruise ship tours. One of our daughter-in-laws was actually born and raised in the area, so she and our youngest son were our guides. We were met at the cruise ship by a hired car and driver. It was then that our adventure began. We were headed up the mountain to a great zip line. On the way, the driver pointed out some condos that were for sale. We continued up the mountain, had a beautiful brunch overlooking the bay, and ended up at the zip line. After some zipping fun, we headed back to Old Town.

As we arrived in that area, our oldest son pointed out the condos that were for sale. He said he wanted to go look and see what a condo on the ocean in Mexico was like. We told him we only had 3 hours left to spend before going back to the ship and we were going to spend it in town. He insisted, and we humored him by going to take a quick look. Thirty minutes later we were signing papers to buy. Excited, we got back on the ship and could not help but wonder what we had just done. The problem was, it would be months before we would return for a second look at our new home. Just another reason this property is called ‘Casa de Rush’!

This was definitely a case of ‘Love at First Sight’. We had been to Puerto Vallarta about fifteen years earlier on a vacation with our son and his family. We had stayed at a hotel and had a great time, but most of our time was spent at the resort. When we returned this time, we noticed the many changes and improvements that were being made to the community. When we stepped onto the property at Molino de Agua, we were immediately impressed with the beauty of the gardens. We went to the second floor and saw a more beautiful view of those gardens and an amazing brand new condo waiting for a buyer. We then went to the fifth floor and could actually see the gardens, the pool, and a breathtaking view of Banderas Bay. The condo was magnificent! We went to the tenth floor to look at another one of the last condos that were for sale. We decided it was a little too high for us (both in price and elevation) and – without a blink – opted for floor five.

In the few minutes that it took to think about this purchase, we decided that there was no other place on this earth that we could find a property of this stature, with an oceanfront location, for this price and with everything literally available at our fingertips. There was no doubt, this was a dream come true and we knew if we did not purchase at that moment, the opportunity would not be available when we returned home at the end of the week. With only seven condos left to sell, they would be gone in no time. Since our purchase in 2009, things have only gotten better. The improvements to this property continue to make it one of the most desired properties in Puerto Vallarta and we love the time we are able to spend here. The people of Puerto Vallarta are wonderful and we are all the richer for having this experience. We love to share it with those who love PV also!

‘Casa de Rush’ sleeps 6 people. It is a three bedroom unit with two Master Suites, each featuring a King Size bed with en suite baths. The primary Master Suite bath also features a Jacuzzi and private terrace. The third bedroom features a Queen bed with access to a full bath across the hall. This condo has central air conditioning with 5 individual control zones. The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, fresh and comfortable bedding of the highest quality and individual closets.

The modern gourmet kitchen is fully equipped for all of your dining needs. There are more glasses and coffee cups than you will ever use. The kitchen is equipped with a gas cook-top and a full cooking set-up beyond imagination for a rental property. Outside we have a large BBQ for cooking as well. There is a table service for 12 people in traditional Mexican pottery and poolside plastic plates and tumblers for outside entertainment, should you decide to take it poolside. Seating for in-home dining is located in the condo dining room and on the terrace. Each table will comfortably seat eight people.

The terrace is tastefully and comfortably decorated in the Mexican tradition with leather covered Equipale furniture. This gives guests the opportunity to arrange the terrace setting to meet their needs. Furniture includes chairs and stools which can be adjusted for views and use. The stools can be used as seats or as foot rests to give our guests the opportunity to prop up their feet to create a comfortable “lounge” setting when wanted.

This condo includes maid service 2 times a week, a full laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board, a covered car port, 24 hour security with private access key, high speed wireless internet, purified water, Magic Jack phone allowing for calls to the US and Canada at no charge, a desktop printer and televisions in the living room and both Master bedrooms, among other things.

The grounds are beautiful and offer various areas for comfortable seating. You have access to the largest infinity pool in Puerto Vallarta. It is heated to a comfortable 85-90 degrees during the season. You can go for a long swim, sunbathe on the lounges, or sit in the shade. The poolside Palapa features food and bar service and is a favorite hangout for pool-goers. Just outside the gate is Molino’s private beach, complete with luxurious lounges and umbrellas. It is surrounded by palms for added privacy and is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing afternoon on the beach.

Upon arrival, our property manager will greet you with your personal keys and access code to the property. He will give you a tour through the condo and explain everything you will need to know about the property. He is a personal friend and will make you feel at home!
